The Palamà family has owned the winery since 1936 but it was in 1990 that Cosimo decided to modernise the vinification process. Nowadays, his son Michele is the cellar master, which further enhances the quality of the wines. The 15 ha of vineyards are located in Cutrofiano and Matino. In red, the grape varieties Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera and to a lesser extent Primitivo are the basis for the consistently juicy, fruity wines with soft tannins. In white, the Verdeca and the Malvasia Bianca make aromatic white wines that are excellent accompaniments to fish, seafood, shellfish or as an aperitif. Vinicola Palamà is also a reference for the rosato wines made with the Negroamaro grape. These are rather intense coloured wines with a full flavour that can easily be enjoyed with a meal.
